M. Jonathan Hayes, a partner at RHM Law LLP in Encino, CA. He is a former member of the California State Bar Bankruptcy Law Advisory Commission. He is on the Board of Directors of the Central District Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys Assn. He has been a member of the panel of mediators of the Bankruptcy Mediation Program for the Central District of California since the program's inception in 1995. He is Senior Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of West Los Angeles School of Law where he has taught Bankruptcy, Business Organizations, Civil Procedure and other subjects for the past 34 years. Before that he taught at Whittier Law School for four years.

Mr. Hayes is the author of three books entitled, “A Summary of Bankruptcy Law, Second Edition” published in July, 2012, available at Amazon.com; “Bankruptcy Jurisprudence from the Supreme Court,” published in 2009, also available at Amazon.com; and “Melvyn ‘Deacon’ Jones: My 40 years with the Blues Legends,” privately published in 2004.
